Q1 · Inguinal Region
MediumThe deep inguinal ring is an opening in which layer?
Explanation
The deep ring is a defect in the transversalis fascia, lying about midway between the anterior superior iliac spine and the pubic symphysis, just lateral to the inferior epigastric vessels. The superficial ring by contrast is a triangular gap in the external oblique aponeurosis above the pubic tubercle. The internal spermatic fascia the cord picks up at the deep ring is derived from transversalis fascia.
